Eden Mill Park has something to offer for all, whether you are looking to take a peaceful nature walk or for a place to launch your canoe or kayak for a water based adventure.
Hours
The park grounds (canoe/kayak launch, trails, picnic areas, etc.) are open daily, from dawn to dusk.
Our nature center and historic grist mill museum are open:
- Monday - Friday: 8:30am-4:30pm
- Saturdays: 9:00am-4:00pm
- Sundays: Open Select Dates 12-4:30
- Sunday June 2nd and 16th
- Sunday: July 14th and 28th
- Sunday: August 11th and 25th
As a Harford County Parks and Recreation facility, we follow Harford County Government’s holiday schedule and inclement weather closing schedule. The nature center and mill museum may be closed for short periods of time in order to accommodate our programs, so we always recommend calling ahead to insure our buildings are open.
Rules and Regulations
- No collecting of plants or animals
- No bikes, horses, roller blades or skateboards
- No hunting
- Dogs must be on a leash at all times to preserve wildlife habitat and ensure visitor safety. Owner is responsible for cleaning up after dog
- Swimming is NOT permitted anywhere in the park, per county code
Pavilion Rentals
- A reservation includes the covered pavilion, a large grill at the end of the pavilion, and access to 2 water-less outdoor bathrooms
- Park hours are from dawn to dusk
- $75 fee
- No electricity
- Alcohol and loud music are prohibited
- Activities such as dunking tanks, hot air balloons, pony rides, petting zoos, carnivals, inflatable bounce apparatus, catering services, festivals, camping, etc. are prohibited.
- To reserve a date, please call Eden Mill at 410-836-3050 and be prepared with the following information: Name, Address, Email, Phone Number, Type of Event, Estimated Number in Attendence, Date for Rental, Hours of Rental
- Harford county and permittee have a right to terminate rental contract upon 30 days written notice. In the event of terminatation by the permittee prior to 30 days the renter is entitled to a refund minus $25 administrative fee.
- However, if permittee terminates the rental contract within 30 days of event date, no refund will be issued.
Canoe and Kayak Launch
Our handicapped accessible canoe and kayak launch is conveniently located right next to our canoe barn.
There is no fee to use the launch and no permit is required. Vehicles can unload and load in the nature center parking lot. Additionally parking is located in the lower lots.
Unfortunately, we do not rent canoes or kayaks.
